Bio-cultural hubs (BCH)

A BCH is a farm or ecosystem restoration project that represents a successful, complex system resulting from the combined efforts of humans and nature over an extended period. BCHs are located in different bio-regions and climates but connected through a physical corridor. They serve as spaces for reconnection between humans and the environment and as experimentation grounds for new rural innovation cultures.

“Biocultural describes the dynamic, continually evolving and interconnected nature of people and place, and the notion that social and biological dimensions are interrelated. This concept recognizes that humans use knowledge and belief systems, that in turn are influenced by the ecological systems of which human communities are a part.

This relationship makes all of biodiversity”

Center for Biodiversity and Conservation

The bio-cultural hubs are experimental spaces for new regenerative rural-cultures.

Spaces to experiment rural social innovation for the transition to new economies and mode of living that contribute to the regeneration of the natural ecosystem, able to grow and innovate through the challenges of our present times.

We live practising Permaculture, breathe clean air and move in sync at natural speed. Abundant, nutritious and fresh food grows in our garden. Our soil is nourished with work at the same time that we are nourished with the food that it offers us and the learning that we add every day. Wonderful beings visit us (all species welcome), to share knowledge, laughter, good food and points of views.
